Those who have already joined Children First UK will be aware that we’ve been trying to put together a website for some time now but it is turning out to be a more complex operation than originally budgeted for and will require a bit of funding to get it right.
So we have settled on this interim facility for the moment, largely for the purpose of collecting membership subscriptions for 2020 asap.
Having a bit of money in the kitty will enable us to pay for a state-of-the-art website, as appropriate to our mission and vision for bringing together all who are passionate about protecting children and eliminating child-abuse into a large and unified mass-movement or Network reaching into every corner of the country.
We hope you agree that keeping everything extremely ‘simple’ for the immediate moment is best. For most people the cause of protecting children needs very little explanation, does it. There is no need to go into the darker forms of child-abuse and spoil everyone’s day. All child-abuse, physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, intellectual and spiritual is wrong in our book, especially if deliberately, knowingly and intentionally perpetrated.
We also hope you like the rolling video at the top of this page! We realised it was the easiest and most direct way of showing that the ‘Children’s Movement in UK’, as it could loosely be called, is already here and here to stay!
Londoners will recognise that this particular march, one of several such that have taken place during this extraordinary summer of 2020, is processing down Oxford Street and we believe it was organised either by Freedom for the Children UK or Save Our Children – hats off to both these groups and a whole string of others who have been active this summer!
We confess we haven’t been able to identify the person who actually filmed this footage of the march in order to ask their permission to use it but we trust that they will be happy that it is helping promote the cause which, repeat, is everyone’s cause; our role in C1UK is merely to bring all the groups and individuals standing up for the children together. This way we can become a really powerful force in UK society and the dream of a whole world free of child-abuse will get that bit closer to becoming reality.
